What is SAPPHIRE ASSEMBLY COMPONENT
What is SAPPHIRE ASSEMBLY COMPONENT (Sapphire Component)?
Technical Description
UltraOpto's SAPPHIRE ASSEMBLY COMPONENT (Sapphire Component) is an integrated optical functional part formed by precisely processing and customizing high-purity sapphire crystal substrates. Sapphire, with its extremely high hardness (Mohs 9), excellent optical transmissibility (from deep ultraviolet to mid-infrared bands), high temperature resistance (melting point 2045°C), and corrosion resistance, has become the core material for high-end optical equipment.
This component is not a single sapphire element, but a standardized module formed by integrating core parts such as sapphire lenses, window pieces, prisms, and light guiding components with auxiliary structures such as metal brackets, sealing parts, and adjustment mechanisms through high-precision alignment, sealing, and fixation processes, based on application requirements.
Core Characteristics
Superior weather resistance: Resistant to strong acids and alkalis, it can operate stably in extreme temperature and humidity, and high radiation environments, suitable for demanding applications in aerospace and industrial inspection.
High optical consistency: The refractive index uniformity deviation of the sapphire substrate is ≤±0.0001, and the optical path alignment accuracy of the component is ≤0.5μm, ensuring distortion-free and low-loss light transmission.
Customized integration: Supports customization of component size (from micro to large aperture), structural form (flat / curved / irregular), and functional modules (imaging / light transmission / sealing) based on equipment requirements.
Typical Application Areas
Industrial laser equipment: Used as laser window pieces and focusing lens components, capable of withstanding high-power laser irradiation, with an anti-damage threshold of ≥10J/cm².
Medical instruments: Applied in endoscope imaging modules and minimally invasive surgical instruments, with excellent biocompatibility and high-temperature sterilization resistance.
Aerospace: Serves as a core component for satellite optical payloads and spacecraft environmental monitoring equipment, adaptable to the vacuum and extreme temperature fluctuations of space.
High-end sensors:
Used in the packaging of sensitive elements for pressure and temperature sensors, combining optical transmissibility with mechanical protection performance.
UltraOpto's sapphire components undergo full-process precision control, from crystal growth, component processing to final assembly, all inspected by high-end equipment such as laser interferometers and three-coordinate measuring machines, ensuring stable and reliable component performance and providing outstanding material and structural support for high-end optical systems.
