Schmidt-Behnke Roof prism New product launch

  • May 23, 2015

UltraOpto has newly launched the Schmidt-Behnke Roof prism. As a core model of special roof prisms, it relies on the principle of 5 total reflections to achieve high-precision 180° rotation of images without changing the rotation direction or causing offset. It features high optical path folding efficiency and a more compact structure, making it an ideal optical component for high-end telescopic systems.

Schmidt-Behnke Roof prism New product launch

The product is mainly made of selected N-BK7 optical glass, and can also be customized with ultraviolet fused silica versions to adapt to multiple wavelength bands. Strict control is exercised over core precision: dimensional tolerance is ±0.1mm, roof angle tolerance is as low as 5 arcseconds, surface flatness reaches λ/[email protected], and surface finish is 40/20. The reflection surfaces are coated with high-reflection films, and phase correction films can be customized to solve polarization phase delay. The light-transmitting surfaces are coated with VIS anti-reflection films to reduce light loss, perfectly avoiding image interference problems caused by multiple reflections.

It is specially designed for high-end binoculars, precision sniper scopes, and astronomical observation telescopes. It is also suitable for image correction modules in industrial high-precision imaging observation and photoelectric detection equipment. It supports non-standard customization of coating schemes, precision levels, etc. Spot products are available for sampling, with one-on-one professional selection and stable delivery, providing highly adaptable solutions for high-precision optical observation scenarios!
