UltraOpto New Product Launch | Porro Prism, 180° Precise Image Erection Empowers High-End Optical Observation Systems

Paul Prism is grandly launched

UltraOpto newly launches the Porro prism (Porro prism), featuring a classic double right-angle prism combination structure. After four times of total internal reflection, the light achieves 180° precise image erection without chiral change, no dispersion or spherical aberration, with a reflection efficiency of over 99%, effectively suppressing stray light, and excellent imaging fidelity and stereoscopic effect. It is the core component of optical image erection systems.

The regular version of the product is made of high-quality H-K9L/N-BK7 optical glass. For high-end scenarios, special substrates such as Bak4 glass and ultraviolet fused silica can be customized to meet multi-band optical requirements. It strictly controls ultra-high processing precision, with a dimensional tolerance of ±0.1mm, an angle tolerance as low as ±0.5 arcseconds, a surface flatness of λ/[email protected], a clear aperture of >90%. The light-transmitting surface is coated with a VIS broadband anti-reflection coating, and the reflecting surface relies on total internal reflection without the need for coating, and exclusive band coatings can also be customized.

The product undergoes multiple rigorous verifications including surface shape, MTF imaging, and high-low temperature cycling before leaving the factory. The optical axis shift is minimal under temperature changes from -55℃ to +85℃, with a firm structure and excellent environmental adaptability. It is mainly suitable for civil/military binoculars and high-precision aiming equipment, and is also widely used in laser rangefinders, medical endoscopes, lidar and other scenarios. Mainstream specifications are available in stock, non-standard sizes and special substrates can be customized, small-batch sampling is supported, and the delivery time is stable.
