Neutral density filters are grandly launched
UltraOpto New Product Launch | Neutral Density Filters, the Core Optical Component for Precise Regulation of Uniform Light Intensity Attenuation

UltraOpto newly launches neutral density filters (ND filters / optical attenuation filters). As the fundamental core component for optical light intensity regulation, they can non-selectively and uniformly attenuate light intensity within a specified wavelength range. The attenuation process does not change the spectral distribution or color balance. They feature high attenuation accuracy, excellent spectral flatness, and full-range customization of optical density (OD value). They are essential components for achieving precise light intensity regulation in fields such as laser systems, machine vision, optical experiments, and imaging equipment.
The product supports full-range optical density customization from OD0.1 to 8.0. Multiple档位 light intensity regulation can be achieved through stacking. It has two core types: absorption type and reflection type. Gradient type / adjustable type can also be customized to meet refined needs. Conventional options are made of high-quality N-BK7/K9 optical glass and Schott special absorption glass substrates. For ultraviolet / infrared scenarios, fused silica / silicon-based substrates can be customized. The ultra-thin version has a thickness as low as 0.55mm. The shapes include round and square, with sizes ranging from Φ1mm to Φ200mm / 1×1mm to 200×200mm, which can be customized on demand to adapt to various optical path layouts.
The absorption type has no stray light reflection, suitable for low-power imaging and laser scenarios. The reflection type is coated with a high-density metal film, with low risk of thermal deformation, suitable for medium-power light intensity attenuation. Both sides can be coated with anti-reflective films to improve light transmittance efficiency. It also supports personalized processes such as drilling and coating positioning marks. Strict control over processing accuracy is implemented, with dimensional tolerance of ±0.01 to ±0.2mm, transmittance deviation ≤±2%, film thickness uniformity ≤±3%, effective light-transmitting aperture >90%, and excellent consistency in mass production. After coating, annealing treatment is performed to eliminate stress and improve component stability.
All products undergo comprehensive testing by spectrophotometers and optical density testers before leaving the factory, and pass rigorous tests such as high and low temperature cycles (-40℃ to +85℃), damp heat aging, and film adhesion. The optical performance does not drift under temperature change and humid environments. The film is scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant, suitable for long-term continuous industrial-grade operation. It is widely used in various scenarios such as laser system light intensity adjustment, machine vision imaging light control, optical experiment light intensity calibration, photography / security imaging exposure control, biomedical detection light intensity adaptation, and optical communication signal attenuation calibration. Spot stocks of mainstream specifications are sufficient. OD value, type, substrate, and size can all be non-standard customized. Small-batch sampling is supported, with stable delivery time, providing high-reliability and high-precision light intensity regulation solutions for various optical systems.
