UltraOpto New Product Launch | Light Guide Rod / Light Guide Tube, Core Optical Components for Low-Loss Light Conduction and Uniform Light Shaping

Light guide rods are newly launched

UltraOpto newly launches the light guide rod / light guide tube, which realizes efficient and low-loss conduction of optical signals based on the principle of total internal reflection. It has multiple functions of uniform light, light concentration, and beam shaping. It can accurately conduct the light source to the designated area, easily converting point / line light sources into uniform surface light sources, and is a basic core component for various optical lighting, imaging, and laser transmission systems.

The regular version of the product is made of high-quality H-K9L/N-BK7 optical glass. For ultraviolet / wide-band / high-temperature scenarios, quartz glass (JGS1/UVFS) substrates can be customized. The light transmittance in the visible light band exceeds 90%, supporting small-curvature bending conduction without obvious light loss, and is suitable for compact optical system layouts. The specifications cover diameters from 3mm to 100mm, and the length can be customized as needed. It also supports special-shaped customization such as conical and hexagonal shapes. The hexagonal version has better light uniformity. The surface finish is 60/40, the clear aperture is >95%, and the refractive index uniformity is excellent.

The light-transmitting end face can be customized with UV/VIS/NIR broadband anti-reflection coating to improve light conduction efficiency; the outer surface can be coated with a blackened coating to suppress stray light. It adopts ultra-precision grinding, magnetorheological polishing, and fusion tapering / hot bending forming processes to eliminate processing stress and ensure stable optical performance; it undergoes multiple rigorous inspections such as light transmittance, conduction efficiency, and light uniformity before leaving the factory. The performance does not drift under temperature changes from -40℃ to +85℃, and the structure is firm and damage-resistant.

It is widely applicable to multiple scenarios such as industrial lighting / machine vision, laser transmission systems, medical endoscopes / surgical lighting, semiconductor manufacturing, automotive electronics, and fiber optic lighting. It can meet various needs such as light source uniformization, backlight guide, and laser conduction. Mainstream specifications are available in stock. Special-shaped sizes and exclusive coating schemes can be customized, and small-batch sampling is supported with stable delivery time, providing high-reliability light conduction solutions for various optical systems.
