Bidirectional Graduated Neutral Density Filter | UltraOpto
Product Overview
UltraOpto Bidirectional Graduated Neutral Density Filter is specially designed for symmetric light field adjustment scenarios. It features a left-right symmetric gradient optical density distribution, enabling bidirectional linear or nonlinear light attenuation control from the center to the edges. It is an ideal choice for beam shaping and symmetric imaging systems.
The filter supports two typical distribution patterns:
bright center/dark edges (optical density increases from the center to both sides) and dark center/bright edges (optical density decreases from the center to both sides). It is perfectly suitable for applications such as Gaussian beam homogenization, central high-light suppression, and symmetric illumination system optimization. Various optical density variation curves including linear, Gaussian, and apodization curves can be customized according to requirements.
Core Advantages
Symmetric Bidirectional Gradient Design:
The left-right symmetric optical density distribution enables bidirectional light intensity adjustment between the center and both sides, meeting the needs of symmetric optical systems.
Dual-pattern Adaptation for Different Scenarios:
Supports two typical patterns of "low OD at center / high OD at edges" and "high OD at center / low OD at edges", which are respectively used for laser homogenization and central high-light suppression.
Flexible Curve Customization Capability:
Supports various optical density variation curves such as linear, Gaussian, and apodization curves, and the bidirectional attenuation trend can be customized according to application requirements.
Broad Wavelength Range and High Stability:
Adopts BK7/K9 or quartz substrate, covering a broad wavelength range from ultraviolet to near-infrared, with stable optical performance, suitable for industrial long-term use scenarios.
Precision Optical Manufacturing Process:
Low parallelism error and high optical density control accuracy ensure the uniformity and consistency of light field adjustment.
